Those of you who have to pay taxes, are you waiting till the last minute?
This is the 1st year ever that we owe a significant amount to the state  
I am dragging my feet on this, I do NOT want to write out that check!!!

We owe and we haven't mailed it yet...supposed to pick it up from the accountant and mail it by the end of the week

we owed so much last year- we filed an extension and then they took it from our refund this year

Since we get money back, we don't. We file in February.
I used to file the week before before I was with DH. I was a procrastinator and I was due a refund.
I like to get it out of the way now.

ditto! i only owe $200 but still. i already did federal and i'm getting a refund there. just draggin my feet on state.

we filed an extension- which gave us 6 months
we knew that we would be getting a refund for 2006- we had alot of uncovered medical bills and not such a great year
so we filed in Oct-
then we filed for 2006 in Jan
we had to pay alittle in pentalies- but nothing too serious

If you decide to file an extension it only gives you more time to file the actual return. Your accountant will know ahead of time a ball park figure if you owe money. If you do owe money you need to send in the check with the extension otherwise you can get hit with interest and penalities.

no we paid already as soon as we had them done. DH is anal about that. Our acct messed up something and we already have had issues with the IRS,(not our fault, acct at fault) so that bill was paid Immediatly.
