Those of you who've planned a shower or were part of planning yours
Ideas for....
Decorations?
Games?
Snacks?
Prizes?
How to set stuff up?
Anything? My mom is doing mine but I'm really the "planner/organizer" for it, but I don't know where to start?
I have between 30 & 40 people coming...
I have 3 weeks!

I'm no help b/c I wanted non of the above. My shower was at Milk and Sugar in Bayshore. It's very girly and cozy. They have couches and chairs, it's not your average restaurant. Anyway, I wanted no decoations other than diaper cakes and no games. lol told you I was no help.

Mine was last weekend, and I was a big part of planning it. We didn't do much decorations--I wanted more just blue theme. We had blue linen tablecloth, yellow tulips, linen napkins tied with blue bows...
Here you can see me and DH in front of the decorated table:
We did a word scamble game that we got at Party City (I think there were 50 cards in the pack?). For favors we did photo albums...I was between that and bath and body works stuff.
For apps we did crackers and cheese, mango and regular salsa and chips, veggie trays, shrimp...
For favors we had decorated cookies with baby theme (carriage, bottle, bear, etc.), and chocolate lollipops shaped like rattles.

As for games, Bingo is always fun. There is also the timer game which is a lot of fun. You set the time for 5 - 7 minutes and whoevers present you are opening when it goes off gets a present. You can get cute stuff like candles, picture frames, even lotions at the 99cent store. Just make sure to have a lot of gifts.

Re: Those of you who've planned a shower or were part of planning yours
I helped to plan mine because it was at my house and my mom lives out of state. But my SILs planned the games. We did wraps and salads for food. We also had dips and a veggie tray and stuff like that. We just put a table cloth on the food table and got some flowers and balloons to match the colors. We also had punch and other drinks. My SILs made the favors. Another SIL got the balloons for outside and etc..

Re: Those of you who've planned a shower or were part of planning yours
I am in the midst of helping my mom plan mine but there are some things I am staying out of. My favors are done already but they are a surprise for me & games are my two SIL's jobs.
In terms of decorations, we are doing simple, just blue theme with some trains. We got some blue tableclothes, a banner that says "baby shower" & a train centerpiece. I am going to get some flowers the day of & put them on the table.
