Going on a tight budget is very doable!! We did it this time around. If you want to still go but have a certain amount you can only spend let me know. I can try and help

It sure is!! I only paid $699 for 6 days for myself, DS and DD (free) to stay on-site. Albeit we are not park hopping and are staying at a value, but it's WDW so who cares  I always says that WDW is the most affordable vacation around.
I wonder what the deals are, hmm!!

My mother said she just heard from one of her coworkers that they are going to be running a special from Jan-June that if you book 4 nights at a disney hotel, you get 3 free, and also if you buy a 4 day ticket, you get 3 days free. We're def going to see if we can book for next year.

Book your trip beginning at 5 pm on Thursday, November 6, 2008. How big is this discount? It's the biggest discount run by Disney Parks since 2001!
For every 4 nights - you get 3 nights free!
For every 4 days of tickets - you get 3 days free!
If you book your trip between January 4th and March 29th, you also receive a $200 Disney Gift Card to spend!
*****Book between November 6th and December 20th!*****
Travel between January 4th and June 27th!
Travel between January 4th and March 29th to include the Disney Gift Card.
Travel between March 29th and June 27th to include the discount, but not the Disney Gift Card.

Their discounts are always only for on site deals (mostly packages but occasionally room only deals) - this is to encourage people to stay on site since they have so many resorts to choose from.
I wish we could go this year but we just got home in Oct and with DC#2 coming in late May/early June there is no way I could convince DH to go back again this soon. Too bad b.c that sounds like such an amazing deal!!!! With the economy the way it is I think we will see a lot more amazing deals to get people into their resorts and parks.
