Those that had laser hair removal and had good results
What kind of laser was used. I am trying to distinguish the different ones and make a decision where to go, but it is so confusing.

i have no idea because it was 2004. but, i think the best laser varies person to person depending on your skin. best bet is to find a reputable technician that you trust, go for a consult, and use what they suggest for your skin color and type.

Re: Those that had laser hair removal and had good results
I'm just about done w/all my treatments - did underarms/lip/lower lip and legs. I may start bikini soon, but haven't built up enough nerve to have someone around my who-ha.
The place I go to is a teaching facility, hence the deeply discounted price for sessions.
They use the Alex and Yag lasers there - which vary on different skin types. I can't remember for the life of me which one they use on me, but I have an olive complexion.
Both have a cooling system which is a necessity for me since I've done laser w/out a cooling system on it and I thought I was going to die. i went twice to a person that used another laser and she would apply ice then laser, then apply ice....while it helped, I realized it wasn't for me. The Alex/Yag machines used have a cooling hose attached and blows constant cold air as the laser is moving so it helps in numbing and not feeling the heat.
I think the Alex is for fair skin tones, and the Yag is for darker skin tones. Dont' quote me though....

My friend is an esthetician and specializes in laser hair removal. Its about 80% of her business I think. She is an advertiser on here. I'm sure she could answer your questions.
