If it were not for blood donors helping me and my son....who knows where we would be! I'd like to give back if I can. and I work at STonybrook..so...
Does anyone know if they allow you to give when you have RECIEVED a blood transfusion within the past few months?

For anyone interested, if you cannot give to this particular person, there is a blood drive at the Suffolk County Bar Association on March 20. www. scab.org. It is on Wheeler Road in Hauppauge. I am still very anemic since pregnancy, so I cannot donate blood. My levels are lower now than they were when I was last rejected as a blood donor. Does anyone know if I can donate platelets? It may be allowed because there is less blood loss.
