Those who have Empire State Insurance - question about prenatals since our prescription drug program has switched to CVS
The vitamins I took with my last pregnancy, while TTC and during the first 4 months of this pregnancy are no longer covered.
I am now taking CitraNatal which are fine but cost $25 per month. I was previously paying $10 per month.
Just curious what prenatal vitamins you take and how much you pay per month for a one month supply? Thanks!

Do any grocery stores by you give out free prenatal vitamins? I live upstate and Price Chopper and Shop Rite offer this program.

I am due in 8 days and will not be missing the monthly prenatal vitamin copay. I am taking OB Complete and they are $45 a month. I never really thought to ask my doctor to prescribe a different brand that might be cheaper. I will continue taking them after the baby is here, but will be switching to an over-the-counter one as a postpartum vitamin.

I have Empire/NYSHIP but I just take CVS brand prenatals. My Dr. (and several other friends' Drs) said OTC prenatals are absolutely fine and they're always on sale, BOGO.

I have been taking OTC vitamins my entire pregnancy- like the pp stated my OB does not think a prescription vitamin is necessary. I take vita fusion gummy vitamins.

I have the same insurance. I bought the CVS brand when they were buy one get one free, and I paid $25 total and it should last me through the first few months of breast feeding.
