Those who own new flat-screen TV's....

Did you add the value of the TV to your Homeowners Insurance?

We were given one as a gift and DH is verry worried about something "happening" to it.

I was wondering what other people do. Thanks! Chat Icon

I don't have any of mine added and I wouldn't either.

In all honesty, to me it's not worth it to me to have to submit a claim if something happens to it. especially if I'd possibly have to pay a deductible and have my rates increase because of it.

I'd be better off getting a new one.Chat Icon

No because I already have my personal belongings item on my insurance maxed out.

My insurance company only allows you to insure a percentage of your dwelling for personal belonings.

Meaning they will not let you insure 800k of personal belongings in a 180k dwelling. Chat Icon

I think I am insured somewhere around 100k for personal belongings.

No as well

Your contents on your Homeowners is not scheduled, therefore it's included in that limit.
