What kind of paint did you use? If you made designs, how did you do it?Thanks.

Re: Those who painted the letters in the nursery

I used white acrylic paint for the base - in the same aisle as the wooden letters in Michaels.
Then I painted lines in a plaid pattern. I used some of the wall paint for these lines because I wanted them to match exactly.
I tried using the blue painting tape for my lines but I ended up peeling off the paint underneath. Instead I used a ruler and carefully pained along the edge.

Thanks. I was thinking about using the blue painting tape but was not sure if it would work. I will do it by hand with the ruler. Good idea! Thanks.

DH said it didn't work because it wasn't dry enough. But I let it dry overnight. Chat Icon

Did you just do lines or did you do dots? Not sure what I want to do. Do you have pics?
