Re: those who started training for the LI half this week...
can you run in the afternoon? today was fine - just a bit slushy and some massive puddles. If you can stay off major roads thats a plus, since there isn't any shoulder. I have a long service road that I can run on which makes things a bit easier.
just be careful when the sun starts to go down and all that melting snow turns icy. Even if the road is just wet, it can be slippery on a hill.
If it's not possible to run in the afternoon, there's nothing wrong with changing your schedule around to fit your life. Run on your off day to make up the miles. It's also early in the training for you - don't sweat it too much even if you do miss the milage.

I agree with the AP, you have to adjust the program to fit your schedule. I had to run two days in a row this week in order to fit in three. I've been going to the gym mostly, but I did run outside on Tuesday. It was actually really nice out.

yeah I've been having trouble sticking with my training too, I know what you mean. For me it's all these things that have come up all of a sudden... I got a bad cold so I couldn't run well, then my old sneakers started hurting me (because they've worn out) & I can't find a new pair that doesn't hurt, and I haven't had time to get out to the runner's store. I know how frustrating it is to miss runs! I'm worried about how it will affect my training when I resume (hopefully very soon).

yeah I agree with PPers...I took the last two days off...My schedule allows for one day off...so it is really like missing only one day...but it is early on and I will just try to be better and more on track next week!
