Those who use Cool Citrus Basil as a bug repellant

please tell me this stuff really works because if it does I'm going to go out and buy a bunch because it's a discontinued scent and they are having a big sale today.

Nothing works for us, not OFF, not the citronella, and I have a 9 month DS who can't use regular OFF yet so I bought an organic, deet free one for him and it did nothing, he had gnats in his eyes and ears... ugh. Please tell me this lotion works, we need something so we can enjoy our yard.

Never heard of that.

I know when I was little my mom used to buy that stuff Avon makes. I think it's called "Skin so soft" or something like that.


I haven't really been outside this week. It's still really bad? Ugh.

I think like 3 people on the home board posted that they used this for a bug repellant and that it worked great but when I went to the Bath and Body Works at the Sunrise Mall they never even heard of this scent before which is funny because when I called the West Babylon store, the girl knew what it was, that it was discontinued, and that the remaining stock was going to be sold at a huge discount today so I was thinking of stocking up if this stuff really worked.

UGH, I HATE BUGS! Dh gets so mad at me that I won't go outside. He keeps saying I'm no fun but I can't see going outside and not even being out for a minute and get 3 mosquito bites, gnats flying around my face getting in my eyes and ears, it's so bad out.

I recommend the West Babylon store a lot. I am in there at least twice a month and the girls that work there are really nice and helpful.

The one at the mall is a bunch of HS kids that are kinda like when you ask them a question.

It's seasonal...yes it works...at least on my entire extended family it did!

Ugh I went to 2 different Bath and Body Works this morning and neither had it. I would buy it online because it's only $3 but the shipping is $9.99!!!

I wonder if their "white citrus" scent would act similarly as a repellent?

ETA: It's probably worth it to just pay for the shipping---you spend that easily driving around looking for it.

I ordered it online - it was buy two, get one free or buy three, get two free (I got two creams and three lotions). Each lotion or cream was $3. I also ordered a different fragrance liquid soap and body spray (also on sale). Got the 20% off and $5 shipping and the total was $16+. I hope this stuff works!
