Those with 2 babies/kids in one room....
How do they get along?
I mean, if one wakes up at night, does the other get up all the time?
How do you do nap times? Bedtimes?
Do they get used to each other in the room?
Gianna and her sis will be sharing a room, right now we put her in there and she goes to sleep on her own. I am worried once her sister comes and goes in that room everything will be thrown off.
Thank you for your experiences, I would love to hear anything that can put my mind at ease-even the bad, good and the ugly

Re: Those with 2 babies/kids in one room....
My boys are 25 months apart. We didn't move #2 in there until he was 5 months b/c I was so afraid the older one would throw toys/things in the crib. It was all in my imagination, of course, b/c it never happened.
My first can sleep through anything when he's in a deep sleep, so we've really had no problem. They do wake up at the same time, though. As for naps, my first gave those up about a month before the 2nd was born. I can count on one hand how many times I've actually had a "quiet" house in the afternoon.

Re: Those with 2 babies/kids in one room....
Well, i don't know if I count but I have twins - boy/girl - we only had one available room so we/they have no choice but to share a room.
Usually if one wakes up crying in the middle of the night - the other sleeps thru (thankfully) - but in the morning they wake each other up at around the same time.
They usually sleep pretty soundly. But it does sometimes happen that we don't get to the one crying quick enough and that wakes the other.

same here...I think because they are twins and they have always shared a room, they are so use to the other making noise, that they sleep right through. I am assuming it will be more difficult for the child that was use to having a room to his or herself now having to share with a newborn who will cry every few hours.

Re: Those with 2 babies/kids in one room....
My oldest is 4 1/2 and shares a room with his 1 year old brother. I tried putting them together around 7 months and ended up taking the baby out till about a month ago. The problem wasnt my 4 1/2 year old but the baby. WHen he would cry Id be so quick to grab him for fear of waking the older one, he got use to getting picked up at the first whimper. We had him in my DD's lavender room for 5 months and my DD slept in with the 4 1/2 year old. They are now back in the same room for about a month and it is going really well. At this point I am comfortable letting the baby fuss sometimes and allowing them to get use to each other. Meanwhile my 4 1/2 year old can sleep through pretty much anything so Im sure it probably would have been doable if I stuck it out earlier. It was probably more about my comfort level with letting him fuss and fear of having kids waking up all over the place. I kept picturing the baby waking his brother and them making noise, waking my DD who is a light sleeper and having 3 kids awake at 1am.
The baby is the late sleeper of the family and my oldest is pretty good about not waking him (most of the time LOL)
