Those With 8/9 Year Olds - Chuck E Cheese
Would they go to a party at Chuck E Cheese or would they think it was babyish? Nicholas loves CEC, he loves to play the video games. His bday is in 13 days and he wants a party there instead of the movies. I'm afraid other kids will make fun of him though so I'm hesitant to invite the kids from his class. What do you think?

Just had DS 5th birthday party there. He has about four 8/9 year old cousins that went. They all had a blast.

My daughter was recently went to a birthday party at CEC..her friend was turning 8..all the kids were in that age range and everyone had a great time...
With that said....
I did think it was a little odd at first that a 3rd grader wanted their party there...then when I thought about it I thought "what a great thing" that this kid wasnt so worried about what the cool thing was and was happy to just have their party where they wanted it.

I just went ahead and booked it. My sister thinks I'm the worst mother ever allowing him to have it there, but she doesn't have kids yet so she doesn't quite get the "make your child happy" thing.
I tried to word the invite so it didn't seem like a ball pit/maze party KWIM?

I think it'll be fine. I taught 4th grade last year & one of the kids had their 10th bday party there & the kids were all saying what a great time they had.

my dd will be 9 and we have gone 2xs this month alone
yes they have a baby center but they also have so cool games as well
