Those with decks...
We have a deck made of pressure treated wood (no stain) that we need to have powerwashed and finished.
Personally I think the pressure treated wood is rather unattractive without some kind of stain - it is on the greenish side no matter what you do to it.
Our deck is about 10-15 years old and was very neglected by the prev owner so I don't have huge hopes that it is going to sparkle after the pressure washing which is why I want to apply some kind of stain or product to it.
Has anyone done this in the past? Do you have an recos?
Thanks!

Re: Those with decks...
Benjamin Moore sells a GREAT cleaner. I have to check when I get home the name of it. You use that to power wash the deck and then stain it. Our deck comes out GREAT with it.

Re: Those with decks...
What kind of stain did you use on your deck? Did you use a stain/sealer combo?

Re: Those with decks...
our deck was about 17 years old when we bought our house & very neglected. We used a product from home depot in conjunction w/the power washer to clean it. Then we used a paint/stain. its been three years & its still looking good. the bottom of the pic is the before & top top is after the cleaner & powerwasher
this is last summer with the stain

Re: Those with decks...
when we moved into our house the previous owners also neglected the deck. We powerwashed it, stripped the old stain and restained it. It looked SO much better. Since then we've just scrubbed it down each spring with deck cleanser and a hose and it looks a lot better just from that.
