Those with DSLR camera's...
How do you learn what the extra lenses do? Where do you buy yours from?

Re: Those with DSLR camera's...
i'm waiting to buy a new lens until i learn how to work the one that i've got. I know i want to get the 300mm lens, but since it's expensive, i wanted to make sure that i was comfortable with the camera first. that said, you can get them on ebay, best buy (wait for their coupons to come out, and get the 10% off.. 12% if youre a rewards member)... or similar stores, esp when they have sales, coupons, etc.
As far as choosing the right lens for you, The Photo Forum is a good resource for equipment info, tips on taking pics, etc...

I received a $50 coupon off a future purchase when I bought my Nikon D40 at Ritzcamerica.com (free shipping and no tax). I bought the an expensive lense as my Birthday/Mother's Day/Anniverary present. I can't wait to try it out!

Re: Those with DSLR camera's...
I got two when I got my camera: an 28-80 mm and a 70-300. I use one or the other depending on the situation. Indoors I mainly use the 28-80 since my objects are closer and outdoors I use the 70-300. I'm looking for an in between lens, most likely something in the 135 mm range.
