Those with split levels....

if you have kids and no playroom, what do you do with their toys? We spend most of our time in the LR.

Do you find there is a big temp. difference between the upstairs and the mid level (LR/kitchen)?

It's toasty warm upstairs and kind of chilly on the mid level

Re: Those with split levels....

I don't have kids yet so I don't know what I will do with the toys. I think a play chest in the corner and as the kids get older I will move it to the utility room.

Yes I have difference in temp from my den ( floor level) and upstairs/mid level. We bought an electric heater for the den when there is a big difference.

I don't have kids yet, but the sellers of my home actually dug out a basement. It's off the kitchen and they use it as a playroom. We'll probably do the same when the time comes. I havent moved in yet, so not sure about the heat, but we have 3 zone heating and cooling, so I hope its not a problem.
