Thoughts on progesterone AFTER BFP?
After 3 recurrent chemicals in 6 months, the RE put me on progesterone suppositories (about three months ago). I hate the way they make me feel (bloated, pregnancy symptoms - even with BFN, late periods, etc). I used to get pregnant so easily (couldn't make it stick ) but now I feel like crap and no BFP. Has anyone heard the progesterone being succesful if started once BFP arrives or will it be too late? I usually lose the pregnancy ~5-6 weeks. I want to stop the suppositories, but don't want another chemical .

Re: Thoughts on progesterone AFTER BFP?
Rather than starting progesterone right away, why don't you get your progesterone tested at 7dpo. Then if it's low, you can start supps, which would be early enough in you get a BFP. But you can cut out a whole week of supps, and you don't need it at all if your progesterone is high.
Are you doing IUIs? Medicated cycles?

Are you taking the progesterone for the whole cycle or only after you ovulate?

Re: Thoughts on progesterone AFTER BFP?
When are you taking progesterone?
MC1 - no progesterone, chemical
MC2 - progesterone, MC around 7w (chromosomal)
MC3 - no progesterone initially (OB thought that bc my prior MC was chromosomal it meant I didnt actually need progesterone but then my levels were low and I said I wanted to take it but it was already failing at that point I believe. resulted in a later later chemical)
pregnancy -- started progesterone at 3dpo. Healthy baby. (did do other meds too though)
I think that I may have been having chemicals due to low progesterone and I think my second loss made it to 7w because of the progesterone but then ended up failing bc it was chromosomally abnormal. I will always wonder if I took the supps from the start if I could have prevented mc3. I dont think it hurts to take the supps, yeah its gross but its a lot better than shots!

I would talk to your dr and see what they recommend and why. For me it was critical I started before and was on IM then went to vaginal around 8 weeks then stopped at 10 and was back on IM progesterone at 17weeks for shortened cervix. I would do what your dr says is best for your situation.
