i hope all is well, i have posted about this in the past
i think one of the reasons this happens (not the spotting) but that drs scare "us" by not seeing a heartbeat is the fact that they go by the date of our last period and for those of us that have been trying to get pregnant, we do NOT all ovulate on CD14; therefore, the fetus can be much smaller and earlier than the date the dr is going by
in terms of the bleeding, i didnt have any but i know DOZENS of girls that have
ETA: I also think this is why they are so "off" with the due dates

I went thru the same thing at about 6 weeks. Stay strong!! I will pray for doubling HCG numbers for you!!
So did I--I woke up on a Saturday morning and wiped to find enough red blood to really freak me out. The GOOD news is that you had some brown spotting after that. That happened to me, too. I went in for a beta check and all was fine.
