Three Village Schools WAS on Lockdown
They just lifted the lockdown, but does anyone have more details on it???
All I heard was that someone thought they saw someone by Walmart with a gun

The lockdowns at Ward Melville High School and Arrowhead Elementary School in East Setauket have been lifted. Officials say the lockdowns were due to police activity at a nearby Wal-Mart. According to officials, there was a possibility that someone may have been spotted with a gun. School officials say all of the students are fine and that the lockdowns were ordered as a precaution.

All Three Villages School District buildings were on lockdown Tuesday morning following a report that someone with a gun was seen in the area of a Wal-Mart store in East Setauket, school officials said.
"All of our children are safe," schools Superintendent Ralph Ferrie said Tuesday morning. "We're taking every safety precaution to ensure the safety of the students and staff."
Ward Melville High School and all other district schools were shut down sometime after 8 a.m., Ferrie said. All doors were locked and security guards were closely checking anyone coming into the schools. Outdoor activities such as physical education classes were canceled, Ferrie said.
A manager at the East Setauket Wal-Mart, on Nesconset Highway, said he was "not at liberty to discuss" the incident. Ward Melville High School is about two miles from the store.
Suffolk police said officers responded to the call, but no further details were available. Two Suffolk police cars were blocking off a section of the Wal-Mart parking lot where two cars were parked.

that was a weekly oocurance when I went there
bomb threats daily, top ten hit list- my Sister was #1 her senior year-

My Dh works in the east setuaket walmart, There was a attempted carjacking in the parking lot by 2 guys a woman told police the guy supposely had a gun.... That is why there was a lockdown in the schools because they fled on foot.
