thumbsucking while feeding bottle..
Samantha insists on putting both her thumbs in her mouth while the bottle is in there. I dont want to pull her hands out b/c she is also holding the bottle at same time and im afraid if i keep taking her hands away she wont ever hold the bottle by herself anymore. But if i keep her thumbs there she gets air in while eating and then im afraid of gas build up.
Does your DC do and what do you do?

we have the same problem over here, and I have noticed she is much more gassy since she discovered her thumb. She usually ends up pushing out her bottle anyway, so I wait until she's done with the thumb and then continue her feeding.

my dd doesnt take out bottle, shell keep going and sucking really hard b/c shes getting fustrated. Cant get enough milk out b/c the thumbs are blocking. If i take out bottle and take away thumbs she screams hysterically until bottle is back in mouth and then goes the thumbs again

Maybe she is teething and her thumbs are providing relief to her gums. That sounds too cute!

Clover tries to suck her thumb and pointer while drinking her bottle. It does look cute but unfortunately she is getting more air so I make sure she is swaddled when drinking.

She hates being swaddled so i cant do that.
I think she is teething but i see no sign of buds, and shes been drooling like crazy and sticking entire hand in mouth for months now, but the thumb in mouth while bottle is there is fairly new.

DD did that for about a month while BF I thought it was teething but apparently not - since the ped saw no evidence of irritated gums or teeth.

DD always tries to put her thumb in her mouth before we give her the bottle... I guess we are mean  we just pull it out otherwise she won't be able to drink anything!
