Tia Mowry Not Returning for The Game's Sixth Season

Tia Mowry is out of The Game.

The 33-year-old actress will not appear in the show's sixth season. Speculation first began after her character, Melanie Barnett-Davis did not appear in Tuesday's new episode. Mowry confirmed the news Tuesday on Twitter.

"Just wanted to let all my fans know that I will not be returning to The Game for season 6," she wrote. "It was an incredible run and I had lots of fun along the way. I am looking forward to my upcoming projects...the release of my book Oh Baby, Season 2 of [Tia & Tamera] on [the Style Network] premiering in June, and my [ABC Family] movie coming out in December...more to come!"

A rep for the BET series did not immediately respond to TVGuide.com's request for comment.

WHAT?? I don't think I'll be watching it next season then. Seriously???

I feel like the best story lines are her & Derwin-I feel like the show was always about her; Kelly & Tasha and the men just happened to be there. I fast forward through Tasha's stuff...sometimes watch the scenes with Brandi & Jason; and pretty much fast forward anything w/Malik.

I thought last Tuesday's episode was bad w/out Melanie there.

Def won't be watiching without Melanie. I loved her. I really don't like this show anymore. I liked the original show better.
