Ticks are using my dog as a smorgasbord.
They are just having grand old time.
We found a tick on his skin right betwwen his snout and nose.
2 weeks ago? Buried in the nook beween his back and tail.
Smart little suckers!
But my poor little guy. I feel bad.
We just started giving him the flea/tick medicine at the beginnig of the month and it has helped.
But poor doggie!

Do you live in a wooded area? Walk your dog in a wooded area or up along side a wooded area? That sounds like a lot of ticks.
I am very careful about where my dogs can go. We back up to a wooded area, but put a fence up and keep the grass really short alongside the fence to hopefully keep ticks out. So far I havent found any on my dogs yet.

I heard its really bad this year. We use the medication and also a tick collar on Casey, so far so good.

The ticks are ridiculous this year. I was visiting my parents waaay out east and we were barely outside, and came home with 3 ticks. One on the dog, one on my hubby and one on me! We give her frontline but even if that repels they can still stick around and get on other stuff.

Yes, I heard that it's going to be a terrible season. We use Advantix and my dog had plenty on him last year so I can't even begin to think about how it can get worse! My DH had one on him last week. I think I'm just going to have to limit the park plays this season.

Re: Ticks are using my dog as a smorgasbord.
DH just found one on our dog's EYELID!! And another on the dog's back. He had to have picked them up in our yard...now I'm petrified about my 13 month old going out, and playing with the dog, etc. Not to mention the fact that my skin is crawling right now just thinking about it.
Since the tick is on the dog's eyelid, DH is on his way to the 24 hour vet right now. DH hasn't been keeping up with the dog's anti-tick treatment, but I can assure you he'll be on top of it now!
My poor fur baby
ETA: There were 4 2 of which were on his eyelid
DH and I are both pretty right now
