tight heel cords in 9 mo- sign of autism, cerebral palsy?

Hello- Just looking to see if anyone else has experience with this...

DD#2 used to try to get to a standing position from my lap by pulling on my hands, but doesn't do that anymore. She doesn't usually bear weight on her legs, she will hold her legs out stiff, bent at the waist.

She is just starting to crawl, mostly army crawling, and likes to sit up better. Since she can get to sitting on her own, even if we try to get her on her belly, she just sits up, and then rocks back and forth joyfully. She does like to rock, but seems to do it when happy, not in a self soothing way.

At my DD#2's 9 month check up, the pediatrician pointed out that her toes were pointed and she had trouble bending her feet to a 90 degree angle. She said that her heel cords were tight, and we should do stretching exercises with her. She showed us that when she held DD up, she stood up on her toes, and said she might have toe walking.

Otherwise she is doing well, she babbles, laughs, claps, and loves watching older kids.

Of course, looking at the internet, I immediately see cerebral palsy, and autism, and muscular dystrophy. Rather than freaking out too much, I decided to see what advice the wonderful parents on LIF would have! Please let me know if you've had experience with this! TIA!!!

i would not look too much into it if she is reaching other milestones!

if it is simply tight achilles tendons, stretching WILL help! keep doing the dorsiflexsion stretches!
