Timing contractions?

OK so I have been having lots of contractions tonight (not abnormal for me) but they feel a little stronger so I decided to time them. I found "contraction master" online and have been using that, but I am having such a hard time telling when one ends and another starts. It's like I have a big one and then a few smaller ones kinda along with it. And becuase of this I can't get a good idea of the frequency. Some are 5 min. apart, others are 1 min because I think one starts and stops, but in reality it's probably just one long on. Has anyone else had this problem? I thought I would be able to see some kind of a pattern. And I'm not in excruciating pain, but they're uncomfy so I'm really not sure when to call. Ugh!! Chat Icon

I have been going through the same thing, and don't want to go to the hospital only to be sent home, because they are not super painful. My doctor told me today if they are that close together to just go to the hospital. He says it is better to be on the safe side.

Re: Timing contractions?

I was there today so that's why I don't want to call Chat Icon I'll keep timing them and if they keep up with the frequency I will definately call. It's frustrating because I've been having the BH since 28 weeks so I'm kinda used to contracting. These feel stronger but they aren't taking my breath away or anything. My other concern is that the baby is breech so I'll be getting a c/s so I'm not sure I really want to go into full blown labor if I can catch it early Chat Icon

Re: Timing contractions?

I had those really long ones.. that sorta went up and down in intensity.. But i had them in the hospital after my water broke.

If I remember your baby is breach. I'd call if I were you.

Best of Luck
