Timing of EWCM
Does anyone know how long EWCM is supposed to last for and when it is supposed to occur. Basically, this month:
Monday- I had EWCM Tuesday- LH Surge. No EWCM but very watery and thin CM. Wednesday- almost no CM Thursday- No CM. I think this is the day I ovulated because I saw my temperature spike on Friday morning.
Is it normal to have EWCM the day before the LH surge?
I should add that I drink tons of water..probably 10-12 glasses per day. I never get the thick stuff which is good, right?

Re: Timing of EWCM
Sounds totally normal. For some people, CM is a better indicator of when you O than a temperature rise. Some people (like me!) take a day or two for their temperature to really rise after ovulation. You said you had a spike on Friday... was there a slow rise on Wednesday or Thursday?
The day that your CM is most slippery, wet, and stretchy is the day you're most fertile. After you O, you can dry up really quickly. Sounds like you might have O'ed on Tuesday night / Wednesday morning.

Thank you. There was a slow rise. These were my temps:
Monday- 97.9- Lot of CM day Tuesday- 97.7- Surge day Wednesday- 97.6 Thursday- 98.0 Friday- 98.6
This was my first month of temping so on Thursday morning I was a little confused. I knew the typical spike is 0.5-1 degree so I was like..Hmm did I ovulate or not?

Re: Timing of EWCM
I always wondered this.
I'm the same way. I get ewcm 1-2 days before my surge and then it's gone when I O or after surge is detected. I'm guessing it's bc it's usually best to BD before you O so sperm is waiting for egg to release. So your body is preparing you for O.
It's confusing lol still after all this time

How about Saturday and Sunday? Did your temps stay above 98.3 or so? If yes, then you probably O'ed. If your Monday temp was skewed a little (you were snuggled under a warm blanket; you took your temp an hour later than usual or after moving around a bit) then I'd say your rise was actually on Thursday, not Friday. The rise can be 0.2 or 0.3 degrees, but you wouldn't really notice it unless you'd been temping for a week or more before.

My temp was 98.5 on both Saturday and Sunday (this weekend).
