Tinnitus anyone?

My ears have been ringing for over a month. I went to the ENT dr. who basically said there is nothing he can do about it.
Has anyone tried anything that has helped? I have a friend who does acupuncture and am thinking of giving him a call.

There is supposed to be a vitamin/herbal remedy for that too. Let me see if I can find it...

did they send you for an MRI?

No, should they have? I have some high frequency hearing loss, and he said it was probably associated with that.

if you didn't have the high frequency hearing loss - or you had headaches, or maybe pulsatile tinnitus - then yeah probably. But with the HF hearing loss, there really isn't much you can do, unfortunately.

how did you sustain the hearing loss?

no idea. he said its probably genetic because i shouldn't have it at my age. I found out about it two years ago, but the ringing just started now. Thankfully though the hearing loss hasn't gotten any worse. I am so afraid i will have to wear a hearing aid by the time i am 30.

Re: Tinnitus anyone?

I had this a few months ago - fortunately it went away on its own, byt my acupunturist told me if it happened again to see her. So I would try that...
