tiny pity party
i'm sitting here, looking at my tree... and it hit me
i got the obligatory gifts at work for christmas. ok, fine.
but, no one that i'm related to gave me anything for christmas, not even a christmas card.
yes, it's better to give than to receive. and life does go on. and i do have the most important things in life. i do understand all that. i dont' want stuff just for the sake of stuff.
but i'm a little sad.
ok, time to start planning for a wonderful 2009  pity party over

It's okay....I had my own pity party 2 nights ago. Know what I got? A watch I gave DH to wrap up from the kids. I bought it 2 months ago.
Next year, we'll go out to lunch, me and you!

i have learned... next year, the gifts i buy will be token gifts or donation gifts. the only one getting a real gift will be my son... oh, and i'll buy myself something
