Tipping a contractor and his crew?
We are having our entire backyard renovated. WE just had an in ground pool installed and completely backfilled---they did a great job.
Now they are starting to build our 2 level deck off of the house and then down and around the pool. so far they are doing an amazing job. We obviously signed a contract for materials and labor. there is one main contractor and anywhere from 2 to 6 workers working on the yard from any given day. This is going to continue for about 2 weeks. When they are all done do we tip each individual guy? Do we give an additional lump sum (tip) ? or do we give them nothing because we are already paying them for their labor/time in the contract previously signed? TIA

I wouldnt give them a dime... maybe drinks on hot days but no more money. The "help" is being paid hourly and the main contractor if he is self employeed is getting the rest. Im sure he made his bill enough to cover all expenses and then some.

We totally did a major renovation on our house. It was the contractor and 5 guys. DH gave them an evvelope with $600. They were amazing and was quite patient and understanding because DH and I are so picky. The contractor knew exactly what we wanted.
