Tipping hairdresser who works from home?

Are you supposed to tip someone who works doing hair out of their house? I'm going to someone today and I'm not sure what to do. It's not really cheaper so I'm kind of thinking no. What does everyone think?

My friend from work does my hair (she used to be a full time hair dresser, but now she does it part time at home in addition to working part time at an office) I just pay her the amount that she tells me. $40, $60, whatever. I don't tip extra. Sometimes her teenage daughter will be there and she'll do my shampoo, and if that's the case I tip HER $5.

i know you're not supposed to, but i do. The woman who does my hair works out of her home and charges such a great rate that i feel like i have to tip her or i'd feel guilty!

When I was going to someone's home I just paid her what she asked.
At the salon I tip because I know that is what she is really working off of- and only getting a percentage of what the salon charges for my service.

if i did your hair out of the salon i do not expect a tip at all. except for the cost of the product used.... its all my profit. maybe if you requested a crazzzzy early time or very far travel it would be nice for a tiny bit extra but never ever expected at all
