Tipping. How much? Salon Services

I am just curious to see what people tip for salon services. I never know if I am tipping to much or not enough.

What would you tip for eyebrows, mani/pedi, hair cuts etc?

I usually tip $8 for a mani and pedi, $4 for my eye brows and $10 for my haircuts (basic).

Again I am just curious to see if this is to low/avg/to high.

Usually 20% but if I get a mani that's $7 or $8, I'll tip $2 or $3, 20% is way too low in that case IMO.

Re: Tipping. How much? Salon Services

my eyebrows cost me $15 - i give her a $5 tip (it's threading)

hair colorist i usually tip $30... (bc i have very long hair and up until recently, i got my hair highlighted 2 different colors so EVERY piece of hair went into a foil; she spent 2 hours on me at least)

hair cut/blowout - $10 tip

whoever washes my hair and takes all the foils/color out $5

if i JUST go for a blowout, i give the stylist $5 and the girl who washes $2

manicure and mini-pedicure (cheaper than regular pedi, takes less time - doesn't do every step as with a regular pedi - i go faithfully every 2 weeks pretty much so a full pedicure is not necessary each time) - i tip her $12 for both usually...
if i get a manicure and a FULL pedicure, i usually give her $20
