Tips for telling parents & family
Anyone have any tips/ideas to share??
My parents are already grandparents-- my brother has two small kids. For DH's family, it will be the first. It's also a little tricky because my FIL passed away about 6 months ago.
I have no clue on what to say, how to do it-- anything!

Re: Tips for telling parents & family
so sorry to hear about your FIL
we told my mom (dad passed away years ago) by giving her our BFP in a 'world's best grandkid' picture frame... (we would have preferred a frame that said 'I love grandma'....)
Despite already being grandparents, your parents will still be thrilled to death... and this news will likely give your MIL something to look forward to... I find that major happy distractions like this work wonders for healing the soul........

Re: Tips for telling parents & family
my sister has 3 boys and DH's father has 7 grandkids
i wanted to do something special but being that i talk to my mom on the phone like 3 times a day, i couldnt hold it in
i called my mom3 days after my first test and told my parents
the first 2 days of testing were SUPER light - i called them on the day it was dark
