Tired of Essie & OPI always chipping - please recommend something else
Essie and OPI have AWESOME colors, but they never last on me without chipping after a few days  once in a blue moon I'll get lucky and they won't chip for 6 or 7 WHOLE days! lol
so... what other brands of nail polish do you recommend that stays PUT!
I just want to add that I also use Seche Vite as a top coat, and they STILL chip

I normally get the LCN perm french manicures so I do not have this problem.
Maybe you can try getting one of those clear nail polish that you put over your manicured nails to prevent chipping and peeling. Have you ever tried that?

I always had this problem with natural nails.
I've heard good things about the Revlon Colorstay polish.

from what I hear, seche vite is supposed to be one of the best top coats. that's what I use. I am wearing a pretty coral color right now by Rimmel (only $2!). I did my nails on Sunday night and no chips yet! $2 - go figure!

It might actually be the base coat you're using. Try using a rubber based base coat (the essie one usually has a green tint).. the polish should "stick" to it better...

Chanel polishes last a long time.
Also, try putting Sally Hanson Hard as Nails over your color. That usually helps me keep the color to stay.
There is also a great nail salon in Sayville that does amazing gel manicure/pedicures that last FOREVER. FM me if you want their #.

I use nailtiques as a base coat. it's been ok with the cheaper brands for some ODD reason

I second the Sally Hansen Diamond nail polish. I like their topcoats too.
I find Essie chips on me very quickly as well.

The last time I did my nails I was amazed at how long they lasted.
I'll have to check on the names of the basecoat & color, but Sally Hansen Mega Shine topcoat was amazing. It was so shiny, like I had them done at a salon& I think it would have lasted even longer if I had added a coat every other day like the bottle says.
ETA- I used Sally Hansen Instant Strength basecoat & Brucci color & the combination was so tough, I almost couldn't remove it!

I have found that Maybelline nail polish lasts longer than the others. I believe the one that I have is the Express finish which dries quick too.

chanel doesn't chip for me- but you have to make sure you like the color at $18 a bottle
I don't like the one I got- it's too pink for me- I like whiter pinks
ETA- when I get a light color on my nails at the salon- I just get 1 coat- and it lasts alot longer

I've been using the new L'Oreal Pro Manicure Nail Polish and it's pretty durable. I also use the top coat.
