Title/Deed question
first of all, title is the same as the deed right?
can a person who is not on the mortgage be on the title/deed?

I don't think the bank would allow that to happen?

Re: Title/Deed question
Yep.
I wanted to explain my answer. My girlfriend and her husband bought a house but when it came time to process the mortgage, her credit was terrible, which affected the % rate. He, on the other hand, had great credit and didn't need her income to get the total amount they needed, so she was not put on the mortgage, but she was on the title/deed.

Re: Title/Deed question
I am surprised that the banks would allow somebody not responsible for the lein to be on the title.
