Well I just had mine done and it took about 2 weeks. And that is using a title search company that my MIL knows the owner so he pushed it through. It really depends I heard it can take up to 4 weeks. HTH

I hope mine gets pushed through. My lawyer told us he did it when we went into contract - we found out last week that he didn't order it until 2 weeks later. Not good - we need to go to closing by Thanksgiving

I am in the same boat - We have to be out of our apartment by 11/30 - Our lawyer said all of the title paperwork is complete, but he's waiting for the survey report ........ Well, can you possible ELABORATE ?? When did you order it ? How long does it normally take ? - Am I going to have to move in w/ my Parents for a month ??? No response for that .............

The average search for a purchase takes about 3 weeks. Then can come in sooner if they are rushed. Most attorneys order them when you go into full contract.

Depends where you live-When i worked in this industry the Town of Babylon was taking 6 weeks to get Certificates of Occupancy. Many lenders require this. Call the buyers atty-they are the ones that order it
