TMI ? re healing (down there)
I haven't had my 6-wk check up yet but the last couple of days I have had a few instances where there was a little blood on my panties or blood when I wiped. It doesn't seem to be "flowing" so I don't think it's AF. I did tear during delivery (apparently up and down) - is it possible my cut "reopened"? Has anyone had this issue? TIA

Re: TMI ? re healing (down there)
It's possible it reopened I suppose, though your doctor would need to check this.
My first AF was very, very light and lasted a few days. Then a few days later, I got a big AF. So it could be that too.

Re: TMI ? re healing (down there)
Thanks for answering. I'm EBF so I didn't expect AF for a while but I guess it's possible.

Re: TMI ? re healing (down there)
I am about 2 1/2 weeks PP (not sure how far you are) and I am still feeling the effects of tearing both up and down too. Some days I bleed more than others (usually when I am more active) and some days it feels like I may have reopened one of the areas that is stitched, but I probably didn't. I have found putting some vaseline on the area helps keep it from becoming too dry/tight feeling at the sight of the stitches.

Re: TMI ? re healing (down there)
I'm 5wks PP today. Bleeding after delivery stopped about 2 wks ago so I was a little shocked to see blood recently!

Re: TMI ? re healing (down there)
I had the same exact thing happen at 5wks PP! (I'm now 7wks PP) Did you feel any AF-like cramps? I did, and I think it was a "mini-AF", but like you, I also am EBF so I thought she wouldn't show up for awhile. Like the OP said, you should be fine, but if you're concerned, could you call your Dr. about it? Congrats on EBF - it's hard but worth it!

Yes, I am experiencing a little cramping (and seems like more so when I feed DC like when I first starting BF).

Re: TMI ? re healing (down there)
I'm 6 wks PP and am EBF, but last week I had a tiny bit of spotting for 2 days and then it went away. Then again, today I started spotting and I am praying it will go away and that it is not AF. I was hoping not to have gotten AF. the Dr said it is possible (I saw her today) but that it could also be just because my hormones are out of whack and it may just stay as spotting.

Re: TMI ? re healing (down there)
I just got back from my 6 week pp check up and I too had a little bit of spotting for about 2 days last week but today the doctor told me I am perfectly healed! Nothing reopened or tore like I thought.
I walked out of there with a perscription for the mini pill and a handfull of astroglide that she gave me Apparently breastfeeding can leave you "dry" down there so she armed me with the lube and told me to "get on top and have at it."
