TMI about little girls...ONE MORE ??? PLEASE
My nearly two yr old dd is just potty training. Now she seems to have developed a rash. Do you think I am not wiping her well? (Its kind of hard to do.) Could it be a UTI? Or yeast infection? But why now when she only wears diapers at night and rarely has accidents?
Thanks for any advice.

Jaidy tends to get red down there since she has been in underwear. She gives me a hard time about wiping and wants to do it herself. So it could be from that.

Thanks for your responses.
She is red, but nothing terrible. She keeps complaining that something is bothering her and grabbing down there. Usually later in the day. She won't sit in the bath now either. THis has been going on for about three days.
Would you take her to the ped?

I would consult the ped but also make sure you are not using anything with fragrance in it to clean her panties. Try something like All Free and Clear detergent and no fabric softener. The perfumes can irritate the sensitive skin down there. I hope she feels better

I'm the same way. My DD also seems red when I use TP, but I switched to wiping her with wipes and it's definitely better.
