TMI but.... Yeast Infection Question
Sorry for the TMI but can anyone tell me what brand of OTC Yeast Infection Mediciation works best for them?
I usually use the Monistat One Day, but sometimes I feel that doesn't really clear it up too well.
Does a 3 day treatment work any better?
Any suggestions for brands or types would be appreciated.
Any miracle cures?
I am SOOOO uncomfortable right now!
TIA!

If you are going to use OTC treatment get the Monistat 7 day. I alway feel more comfortable with the 7 day treatment.

Call your ob/gyn. They've prescribed me something that gets rid of them fast. I think it's like a 3-day pack.

Re: TMI but.... Yeast Infection Question
call the dr - they will give you diflucan
ive done the 1 day and it works too
but diflucan is the best - its 1 pill they should be able to give you the rx over the phone

Totally agree. The OTC meds work (especially the 5-7 day treatments) but an RX will clear it up faster.

You know, you are right. I've used Diflucan back when I was on heavy duty antibiotics for acne. (Yeast infection nightmare!) It did work awesome and I loved the fact that it was a pill you swallow rather than a messy, leaky cream. I totally forgot about it though. I will try to see if I can get that.
Thanks!

Re: TMI but.... Yeast Infection Question
Monistat has 7 days and 2 or 3 days. I use the shorter time span one. It works and its not too yucky. Monistat 1 does not work for moi.

Re: TMI but.... Yeast Infection Question
I get them pretty often and the one day treatments NEVER help me...nor does Diflucan. I suggest getting the 3 or the 7 day Monistat treatment...it takes a little longer to clear up but it stays away for a while.

I agree! I used to get them all the time and this worked best for me!
ETA: Diflucan never worked for me

The only thing that ever works for me is Diflucan.
