tmi- butt?
sorry about the tmi but ds's butt hole area is really red. i mean the entire area and it looks so painful. i always put a TON of cream on him and i'm changing his diaper very often but it is still so red.
can this be a food allergy (just started mango this week)?
any tips on what to do? call the dr.?
i need this to clear up before our vacation on tuesday b/c we'll be out of the country.
tia!

Re: tmi- butt?
Make sure his skin is completely dry before putting on any ointment otherwise moisture gets trapped against his skin. You may also want to let him go diaper free during the day to help clear it up.

Re: tmi- butt?
If it doesn't go away with diaper cream it might be a yeast infection-boys can get them too. Lotrimin AF is what our ped recommended for that.
Also, as the above poster said, make sure to let the area air out as often as possible.
