TMI- for the ladies that are almost there

I'm obsessed with reading/researching early labor signs and looking out for them. Everything I've seen or read talks about in an increase in vaginal discharge. I'm only 2 weeks from my due date and I have noticed any VD, let alone an increase. Am I the only one who's pretty dry down there?

I'm not as close as you are (DD Nov. 4), but I have been having slight discharge all along (wear a pantyliner everyday). I have not seen any increase yet, but I am not even close to showing any signs. I was at the dr. on Tuesday and he said that nothing's happening, which I am relieved about. Chat Icon I am not even close to being ready.

I know that my body is getting ready in other ways- 50% effaced and the baby has dropped super low. But this is one thing I keep hearing about and I just don't have it. Chat Icon

It may be something that doesn't happen to everyone. Or maybe it'll happen any day now. Hopefully your little man will be here very soon! Chat Icon

I have been noticing more discharge lately - I will be 36 weeks tomorrow and i am convinced this baby is coming early! Don't know why though Chat Icon

It has been within the past few days and my doctor told me that the baby is head down and I am 1 cm dialated as of last Friday...

Cutie...I hope you have more luck than I did. I thought the baby was coming early too. I have been dilated for 3 weeks now and the baby head is extremely low and here I still am on my due date Chat Icon

Well I have noticed a lot of discharge and I wear a liner every day. But I've had a lot of discharge throughout the pregnancy so I'm not sure if there is any increase of not.

I think I'm just paying more attention now and hoping for signs of the mucus plug (which I obsessively check for but have not seen any sight of Chat Icon )

I thought for SURE I was going to deliver early too - since at my 36 wk appointment I was already 1cm dilated and at my growth sono they told me his head was SUPER low. I'm 2+ cm dilated and 60% effaced as of this week but otherwise I am not showing any signs of impending labor at ALL ..

no contractions, no cramps, no sign of plug - NOTHING !!

I haven't noticed anything more and I'm 37 1/2 weeks pregnant. I wear a panty liner but it's still the same.

I had an appt today and the dr said i was a fingertip dilated. How do you know if your'e effaced? Is that the same thing as your cervix softening? He said mine was getting a little softer.

Yes, they measure the amount of softening in percentages. So when the Dr. said I'm 50% effaced, I take that to mean my cervix ias halfway thinned out to where it needs to be.
