TMI question about wiping and the potty
Alex has been fully pottytrained for about a year now, maybe a little more. She always wipes herself for peepee but let's me wipe for poopy.
Thing is, lately she has been on this independence kick and wants to wipe herself. For sanitary reasons, obviously I'm a little concerned. I have to admit, she's doing a pretty good job so far, and I taught her the "proper" way, but I'm curious - when do most preschoolers start wiping themselves during pottytime?

Re: TMI question about wiping and the potty
My son will be 5 next month and *he* still wants me to wipe after #2 He's taught how, he could if he needed to, but so far, the opportunity for him to be completely on his own hasn't presented itself... Even at school. He still wants mommy!
Sooooo, with that said, this summer I will make sure he is completely self sufficient, since he'll be in school all day for the first time in K.
