TMI question....I know acidophilus is OK, but
what about the acidophilus suppositories? I have a heck of a YI that seems to have gone from mild to holy crap overnight. I know we can use topical creams, but honestly they make me feel worse (I am so sensitive to begin with). A few months ago when I was ordering DS probiotic powder I saw suppositories for YIs (candida based) and wondered if any moms talked to their OBs about them?
Mine is not in until Monday and the office now charges for phone calls after hours
TIA
UPDATE When I went to my OB she said that the acidophillus suppositoeries are OK to use. I did use them and it worked very well.

I definitely will. I am seriously considering calling the nurse and paying for the call.

Re: TMI question....I know acidophilus is OK, but
My OB said any OTC montistat is fine after the first trimester.
I used the 3-day suppositories when I had one a few months ago

I used the 3-day suppositories when I had one a few months ago I can't use the creams...they irritate my skin I have super-super sensitive skin. There is something in the cream that is non-medicinal that makes me chafe
But thank you for the info!

Re: TMI question....I know acidophilus is OK, but
Oh I thought when you said you cant use the creams, you meant the cream they give you for the outside. I use the "ovule" gel-like suppositories.
What do you normally do for a YI then? Diflucan?
Im sorry you have to deal with that!!!!!

Im sorry you have to deal with that!!!!! I normally get a colonic and a reflorestation of good bacteria, but apparently that is a no-no during PG b/c it can bring on contractions. I have been upping my good bacteria & probiotics, but this thing is determined
Thanks
