TMI regarding stitches and intercourse

When I gave birth to DD I tore quite a bit and had to have a bunch of stitches. DD is almost 9 mths and it is very uncomfortable to the point it hurts. I don't think it has anything to do with me being PG again. Anyone else experience this especially this long after giving birth?

TMI here but even a finger is painful. Do you think he sewed something up wrong??

I would make an appointment. It shouldn't be like that at 9mos pp. It may not be the sewing problem. It could be thin tissue.

It may have something to do with pregnant again soon after having your daughter. What happens when we are pregnant is that extra blood flow goes to the vagina to make it extra sensitive. I had surgery for a gland to be removed while I was pregnant ( I didn't know I was pregnant at the time). I had quite a bit of stitches. The same thing happened with me now since I have had Kara it is so much better. Ask your doc next time you go.

Same here. DD is almost 11 months old and even a regular sized tampon is painful. It has taken its toll on my relationship with DH. My OB gave me a referral to a Vulva and Perenium pain specialist in Brooklyn but I haven't made an appointment yet. I just keep thinking it will get better. I have a friend with children 2 and 4 years old and still has pain. She just grins and bares it. Good luck.
