TMI-Sex Related
I'm just wondering--is there anyone else out there who has 0 desire for sex?
I'm in my 20th week now, and I kept reading that your sex drive increases in the 2nd trimester. Well, I'm well into it now, and I do feel quite good physically, but I have no urge for sex. It's to the point where I'd be happier to never have it at all. I do once in awhile for DH, and it's okay, but nothing outstanding.
I wasn't like this before pregnancy, and I wish I could get into it, because I think I'll want it even less during the last trimester.
Does this sound odd? Something I should mention to my doctor?

I dont think its odd. Your body is going through so many changes as are your emotions. i just don't feel sexy so i'm not into it as much but i do miss it at times.

Sounds normal. Your body is going through a lot of changes.
I wouldn't say I have no desire, but I definitely have no problem not doing it

Right there with you, zero desire & 20 weeks on Sunday. DH keeps asking what happened to the nympo he married. A few days ago he asked if he could make an appointment to have sex. I feel horrible, but I don't know what to do about it either.

Re: TMI-Sex Related
Thanks for replying! I was starting to think something must be wrong, but I was embarassed to bring it up with my doctor earlier this week. Sounds like it's not unusual at all.
It's a good thing we've been working on our house a lot lately, and packing! DH is too tired to feel interested most nights, so it's easy to avoid! Never thought I'd feel this way though.

None. Zero. Zip. Nada. Zilch.
Are you having a girl by any chance? I ask because I already have 2 boys, and throughout each of my pregnanices with them, I was a nympho
I am currently 32 weeks PG with our 3rd baby, our first
I am wondering if my lack of interest has to do with this being a girl? Hormones are different?

Re: TMI-Sex Related
My DH and I are usually 5x per weekers so when the doctor put us on pelvic rest at the beginning of my pregnancy it was a bit of a shock. Especially after all the fun we had trying to conceive!
I was allowed off pelvic rest after about 18 weeks or so and we havent really taken advantage of it. I just havent felt like it...
ALTHOUGH....
We did a couple of nights ago and I think I felt things starting to stir again!!!!!!!!

Re: TMI-Sex Related
I'm with ya...absolutely no drive!
Although, I didn't have much to begin with and now its like non existant.
The only drive I have is the drive to have more drive! I feel bad for DH but he's been really good about it. He'll hint at when he wants it and I'd never turn him down, but I think he's also alittle afraid of the whole "theres a baby in there" idea so its been very infrequent lately.
I wish there was a magic pill b/c once we get started I'm totally into it, its just getting me there thats the problem!

Re: TMI-Sex Related
Hmmmm, let's see here...
Weeks 7-15 I had morning sickness and had NO desire because I had constant nausea!
Week 20 I was told I had a low lying placenta and was put on pelvic rest... sorry DH!!!
Week 28 I was told my placenta moved so I was off pelvic rest.
I am now closing in on 34 weeks and we have not done the deed much in the past 6 weeks. I am with you... the desire is just not there. I feel big and to have to maneuver the big old belly makes me tired just thinking about it!!!
You are definitely NOT alone!!!

Re: TMI-Sex Related
I really hope that the sex drive improves in the 2nd trimester.
Right now with the morning sickness I tell him to not even think about it.
If the poor guy doens't get some action soon he acts like his thing will fall off...oh well.

Re: TMI-Sex Related
I really have no desire.
The beginning because of MS, now because I just don't feel like it. I did for a little while, but it went away.
DH is a little freaked about the whole baby-might-feel-it thing, so we are both on the same page.

Re: TMI-Sex Related
I've had ZERO desire pretty much this whole pregnancy...
The first trimester, I was too exhausted to even entertain the idea most days
The second trimester, I was better, but not really into it all that often.
Now that I am 35 weeks, it's just too uncomfortable, and I really have no desire!
I miss it, and I can't wait until my drive is back!!

Some desire but not a whole lot. Less than usual for sure. I'm on pelvic rest anyway, due to low lying placenta.
