TMI...How do I help to heal my sore
nipples? She is latching on correctly but between her bfing for over an hour sometimes and then trying to pump, my nipples are so sore. I put Purelam on them but it isn't really helping much anymore. Any suggestions?

Re: TMI...How do I help to heal my sore
Are they cracked, and really red? Or have scabs?
The laninosh worked for a little while, but I wound up with a nip infection, they were cracked so some bacteria got in. I needed bacroban.
if the cream doesn't work, def go to the doctor
Feel better soon
It gets much better when the nips toughen up

No, they aren't cracked or bruised. I have been using the Laninosh too. I thought they would toughen up by now. Sometimes I just don't want to feed her because I know it will hurt. I guess I will just stick it out.

It DOES get better...don't give up. Smother your nipples in the Lanisoh and then put pads on in your bra to act like a bandaide. Do this especially at night...it worked for me

Re: TMI...How do I help to heal my sore
You know every so often my nips will still hurt and I have been EBF for 7 mths...so you would imagine they would be tough as old boots by now but I think its when I change position for feeding....usually I feed her on the boppy but lately I have been feeding her lying down in bed and I have had some pain in the morning...she may not be latched on 100% as good as during the day when I am fully awake and watching her...so that might be the reason.
Another thing, does your baby use a paci? That might help if you are becoming a human pacifier..I know I am during the night when she is in our bed so I just stick the paci in and she is happy.
Hope you can stick with it and you find something that helps

Re: TMI...How do I help to heal my sore
God I remember the soreness I know what you mean about sometimes not wanting to nurse because it hurt I was recommended to use olive oil on them and air them out as much as possible, not wearing a bra if you are around the house and such... It could be her latch or even just need time to toughen up an get use to it. If you stick it out I am sure it will get better, it sure did for us, now it is like nothing! I am SO glad I stuck it out and we are in our 6th month of exclusive nursing Hang in there, you are doing an amazing thing for your DD and come here for support anytime, I will cheer you on
