It's officially Sunday, which means Alicia will be picking her sons up TOMORROW MORNING from the airport!!! I wanted to start a thread for Alicia to send her some last minute well wishes!!!
So, to Alicia....
I have followed your story from the very beginning, with your decision to adopt, and going through pictures and videos, the interviews and background checks, the waiting and wondering. You find out you're getting your boys, only later on to find out that you are ending your marriage. The highs and lows, ups and downs, and through it all you have been a constant source of strength, determination and inspiration.
A new job to support your new family, a new apartment with a bedroom that has probably never had so much thought put into it, a new car.
You thank me for the clothes, but really I should thank YOU. You give me hope that there are still great people in the world. People like you make the world a better place. Although we have never met, I can say with 10000% certainty that you are a truly caring, loving person who I am honored to "know".
To Biruk and Paulos...welcome to the United States, and to the LIF/LIW's family..we look forward to seeing lots of pictures and hearing lots of stories. But more importantly, welcome to a Mom who fought so hard to get you both and who loves you more than you can ever know.

Alicia, I am so excited for you. I have been following your story and "lurking" for all your updates. I feel like I've been on that journey with you because I've learned so much just by reading your posts.
Paulos and Biruk are the richest boys in the world. These boys are not going to know what love and family is till the moment they meet you. They are coming home.
I am looking at the clock now and thinking this time tomorrow Alicia will be hugging and holding her boys walking out of the airport and going home.
May your home with YOUR SONS be filled with lots of love, laughter and friends.

Alica....although we never met because something always came up when planning the NJ GTG's...I too have followed your story and what a giving person you are. I know you are going to be the best mother to those boys! If you ever need anything or anyone who's here in NJ...you let me know! Congrats again.

The day that you have been searching for, waiting for and dreaming for is almost here and I am so excited for you!!! You are already an AMAZING mother. You have shown us all what unconditional love is! Everything you have done have been for the boys and they are going to learn what it means to be so loved! They are going to be so amazed by all they see and you in turn from watching them! There will be days of transitition that might be stressful but you and the boys will get through it all because of what an amazing, strong and good hearted woman you are! Your boys will NEVER lack for anything because you have given them everything they have needed a parent that loves them unconditionally!
I cannot wait to see pictures of the newest LIF family!!!
I hope that you have a safe trip down to DC and a safe trip back to NJ with your new FAMILIY!!!

Alicia-
You are a special woman and these boys are very lucky to have you as their mom. I know its been a tough year for you, ending your marriage with Dex. Of all people, I can relate. But you have remained strong and have never given up hope on adopting these children. You have made many sacrifices already. Please remember how truly wonderful you are... WE never made it out for that drink... One day...

I couldn't say it better than Stacy! But I do want you to know that you have been a constant source of inspiration these last few years. Your love and affection is the greatest I have ever seen. Your boys are the luckiest boys in the world! They will experience love, affection and generosity for the rest of their lives, because of you.
