To all those with recent BFP's
First off - Congratulations to you all A very happy and healthy 9 months to each and every one of you.
I was hoping you wouldn't mind sharing:
1. How long were you TTC before your BFP?
2. Were there any "issues" that you knew of that you had to overcome to get to your BFP?
I know we are all different but I'd just like to see how in line I am with you ladies on my journey.
TIA

Re: To all those with recent BFP's
I just got mine but I feel like I was very lucky bc had basically just started TTC -
I did do a lot of stuff to "help" before we really started trying (like infertility acupuncture, diet, chiropractic in general but also right before to help release the uterus. .
no real issues except for I am a little bit older which is why I was doing so much ahead of time. .

Re: To all those with recent BFP's
This was our first month actively trying. We weren't trying or preventing and I had gotten pregnant in Feb and miscarried at the end of April.
I don't think we have any issues because I already have one DD, but the miscarriage took away any innocence I had with the process and now I'm a nervous wreck.
Hope you get your BFP soon!

Re: To all those with recent BFP's
1. How long were you TTC before your BFP? We started trying in January. I got my BFP on our 5th cycle trying.
2. Were there any "issues" that you knew of that you had to overcome to get to your BFP? No issues other than STRESS. I completely stressed myself out over TTC. The cycle I got my BFP I relaxed and tried to forget about babies. I did not obsess over 2ww symptoms and did NOT schedule I think that helped BIG time. Also, I had an appt with my GYN to talk about a plan of action the day after I got my BFP. I think knowing that I'd have a plan the next cycle helped ease my mind. I was so happy I was able to cancel that appt. and make my first pg appt.
Good luck to you and all of the TTCers. I was in your shoes only 4 weeks ago and I know how frustrating it is. TONS and TONS and TONS of to you!!!!!!! See you over on PG real SOON!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! To answer your questions-
1) we got PG on our 2nd cycle of trying-so 2 months
2) no issues
Best of luck to you!!
I bumped a really big thread about how recent bfps's giving advice to TTCers-definitely check it out! I had it saved in my notebook and read it for advice. I found it very helpful.

Re: To all those with recent BFP's
1) 3rd cycle since we "stopped not trying"
2) very irregular cycles since coming off the pill in February 2008 -- everything from 34 days to 85 days and everywhere in between.
The month we got our BFP, I had a BFN on CD 37... never got my period and got a BFP on CD 67.
I still have no clue when I O'd. It was basically impossible for me to calculate since I didn't temp. We tried for two months to go for the "scatter and conquer" method, but it was actually after we sorta "gave up" for the month after the negatives (I also had a negative BT on CD 42) that it happened for us.

Re: To all those with recent BFP's
1. About 7 months from the time I went off the pill till my BFP
2. I had PCOS and knew I had it so after just being off the pill for a few months, I started with an RE immediately. It took pills, injections, and 3 IUIs to get me pregnant!

Re: To all those with recent BFP's
1. It took us 11 months
2. I had long irregular cycles with late ovulation and my husband had slightly decreased morphology and motility. Eventually IUI with injectables worked for us!
