to and from airport
What does everyone do ??? Do you think its safe to leave the car in extended stay for 7 days ???

DH and I usually get dropped off at an airport by a friend or family member. I've never kept my car at the airport for extended days.

we have used the long term parking at JFk many times...its very convienent and safe. we love it!

I think the long term parking is safe, just expensive..... We have found it's less expensive to use a care service then to use the long term parking...We just used....... affordable car and limo service from Oceanside(516) 678-9084....we priced out many and this was by far the best....We had Anthony greet us at JFK...he was on time,courteous, and the car was comfy and clean.....HTH

I took the subway and then the airtrain.
if you are coming from LI, you can take the lirr and then the airtrain at jamaica station, it's pretty convenient imo.

Yeah, I had the opposite experience. It was $70 to park in the long term, VERY NICE lot at JFK for 6 days. The cheapest car I found was $66 one way without gratuity!!
We did the long term parking with a 3 month old and it was pretty easy.

Jfk Long Term Parking is reasonable - I think $8/day?
The private Long Term Parking at LGA is outrageous.
The LIRR to airtram is good too, depending on your luggage/children situation.

Usually I fly out of JFK & do one of the two
1) have someone drop me off
2) Take the LIRR to the Airtrain
