TO ANyone with Roof leaks right now - wait!
Just a little advice.
DH used to be a ontractor and we were JUST talking about this tonight.
He says when you have wind and rain like this - which is NOT The norm at all, the water can get up under the shingles and under the flashing and leak. This would normally not happen with regular rain (but after 8 days of rain....it does).
Wait until the next rain AFTER this all stops and dries out. If it leaks again, THEN get someone to come work on it. Otherwise, chances are your roof is OK.
Just wanted to pass it along.

How funny, my DH who IS a contractor said basically the same thing tonight over dinner. But he did say that with an asphalt roof with more than one layer on it already has a greater chance of a leak now becoming more of a problem in the future since there is a way for water to get in there already. He got a call that a house was leaking this morning... 1st one after a week of rain I HATE RAIN!!
