To go to party or not
My good friend from DC is coming to NY this weekend to celebrate his partner's bday. Its at a gay bar in NYC. DH, in his homophobic nature, won't go, and our other friend who knows the guys is away. I don't know if I want to go alone, to only see my friend for a short time since he's hosting the party and can't talk much anyway. Is it mean/rude if I make up an excuse? Plus I don't know what excuse.

I'd go, you'll probably end up having a great time, and even if it is only for a short time, how often do you get to see this friend if he's from DC ? -
