To invite the class or not?!
We have a lot of friends with kids the same age as my boys. The count less the classmates is 29 we would invite. Then the class is 10 more. I have had some playdates with a few of his friends. I know two pretty well. Do I invite the class or just the two or three we have gotten to know?
The place only allows up to 25. We have 6 cousins in e count as well. We went to one classmate bday party and only 4 of us showed up. Those are the moms I've been closer with since. Funny, but the girls who bday it was in no longer in the class so wouldn't invite her since we will never see her again.
Btw.. He is turning 4 and in preschool. He goes 5 days a week for a few hours.

i would invite this families you are closer to. We did this and it worked out fine. You have to draw the line somewhere and it already seems like you have a lot of kids to invite.

Re: To invite the class or night?!
i dont know what i would do but i will say at DD daycare i went back and forth invitin her class for her second bday and decided not too. Well one of the kids i knew she was very close to invited her too his so i wanted to minamlly invite just him but i was torn on inviting just one of them. I asked the teacher was it typical for all kids to be invited to bday parties at this age and she said no its when they get older she would consider it more cause they come to school talking about how they went to so and so bday parties.
on a side note someone in her 2 yo class did invite the whole class only a few actually showed up to the party

There is no reason to invite the whole class if it isn't feasible for you. I feel like if there IS a kid who gets upset that he wasn't invited to a party, it's the parents responsibility to tell them that they won't always be included and that's ok...

If you're not obligated to invite the whole class, I would just invite the few he's close with.

Re: To invite the class or not?!
Thanks all for the advise. I may only invite the 3 we know and have had playdates. Funny, I'm the class mom with another mom and non of the parents are good with responding to our emails or anything. Lol The only ones who have answered are the ones we've gotten together with. We also have a bday list and weren't invited to any parties before my DS so I'm guessing they just had a family thing or didn't do anything big.

Since you are above the count prior to adding the classmates - I would just do the few or none since you run the risk of everyone saying yes.
