To my dear Megan...
My dear Megan Lynn,
Last year at this time, you were only a bean in my tummy. We told grandma that you were on your way and that next Christmas there would be a little miracle celebrating with us. She cried and jumped for joy while I cried just thinking about the reality of you.
Last year, all we could do was talk about when you would be here. What would you look like? Who would you be like? Would you be a calm baby or fussy...would you be born early in August or late in September? Now my love, you are here. You are my entire life. You are a combination of everyone in the family. You are already independant, you know what you want and when you want it. You are already one of the smartest babies I have ever seen. You already know who your family is. You are the sweetest, calmest baby anyone could have wished for. You go with the flow of your crazy parents and you already adore each and every one of your family members. You were born a 8 days early..you couldnt wait to meet us as much as we couldnt wait to meet you.
Last year, I was able to cry at the drop of a dime just thinking about who you would be. This year, I cry at the drop of a dime just looking into your eyes. You grab my hand, look into my eyes, and smile at me and I know now that this is the absolute best thing I have ever done in my life! Every night I whisper in your ear how you are my miracle and I could not do anything in this world any better than making you.
My wish for you my daughter, my first born, my little girl, is that you always know the love I have in my heart for you. That you always are able to feel the magic of Christmas that I will always try to create for you just like Grandma has done for me. My wish for you is to know simplicity..simple things..simple love...the lessons in life that mean the most. You will have everything that I can give you but you will know that it comes from the heart...meaning more than any toy from Santa can mean!
I am sad that next Christmas I wont be able to hold you like a baby...you will be God willing walking and running and talking up a storm. So this year..I promise to hold you as close as I can. I promise to see the amazement in your eyes as they see your first Christmas lights, your first Christmas tree, your first visit from Santa, your first experience of the magic of Christmas. But I also promise to see this each and ever year..through your eyes and heart.
I thank God every day for blessing me with you. You are everything to me..you have brought meaning back to my life and have made me content.
On this your first Christmas my beautiful baby, Mommy vows to love you more and more each day, each minute, each second. I vow to take time to watch you grow and not miss one moment. I vow to always be here for you like I am today..I just hope and pray that you will ALWAYS need me like you do today.
I love you with all my heart and soul..once again, as I have said before, you have made me complete. Thank you for bringing me the true meaning of Christmas back into my heart. You are truly my amazing miracle! I love you!
To all of my fellow mommies (and daddies)..may you have a blessed Christmas with YOUR beautiful miracles. We are all so lucky that we are on this journey together. May you have your own magical holiday filled with peace, health and happiness!

Aww Noreen...I can feel your love for her all the way over here. I am soo happy for you and Anthony. I hope you have an AMAZING first Christmas. I can not wait to experience the pure joy that you are. I miss ya and can't wait to see you!!
